It was a great, gorgeous hotel with extremely friendly staff. The room was decent sized and beautiful, I greatly enjoyed to be there. The beds were very comfy and the bathroom here was luxurious. The location was good and stunning for walking around a historic 10th-century shrine. I didn't want to leave and would book again.

The hotel was in a particularly good location not far from tourist attractions and restaurant centers and various temples via buses and the centre of town. It also was to the wonderful homemade breakfast everything was Perfect. Local and delicious breakfast, best ever had, with fish and pickled veggies.

Although it was a bit far from the bustling center of the city, it allowed us to experience a quieter, more traditional side of Kyoto. We had a special stay during our 11 nights traveling throughout Japan. The traditional hotel is in a quiet area next to tourist attractions as well as the bus stop down the street. The room was spotless and relaxing with climate control, a personal safe, and a refrigerator.

The location is excellent and absolutely perfect - minutes away from the main station. Very friendly and extremely hospitable staff members are with excellent service.
